According to reports in Spain, Swansea City forward Miguel Michu has passed a medical with Coppa Italia winners Napoli ahead a possible move, writes the Daily Express.

Michu has spent two seasons in South Wales. In the first of those, he proved a revelation, scoring 18 Premier League goals in helping Swansea to their first top half finish in the Premier League. Last time around, however, he was left frustrated by persistent injury problems and was reduced to just 24 outings in all competitions.

Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham United have all been linked with a move for Michu over recent weeks and months, but Napoli appear to be in pole position, although they are still yet to agree on a fee with Swansea, who recently signed striker Bafetimbi Gomis to join last season’s top scorer Wilfried Bony in terms of their attacking options.

Rafael Benitez has apparently not been dissuaded by his injury troubles, and this move comes despite Swans boss Garry Monk saying in May that Michu would be staying at the Liberty Stadium.
