Liverpool are set to make one final attempt to try and lure Alexis Sanchez by offering him a massive £150,000-a-week to move to Anfield.
The Barcelona playerer, who has refused to be part of a possible package deal which could take Luis Suarez to Spain, remains a key target for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
However, Arsenal are in the driving seat for his signature, with the winger preferring a switch to London, but Liverpool aren’t keeping their tabs off.
According to Catalan newspaper AS, Liverpool could offer Sanchez a giant contract worth £150,000-a-week if he changed his mind and wanted to move to the Merseyside club.
Sanchez is currently on about £75,000-a-week at Barca, and while Arsenal have privately promised to go up to £135,000-a-week for the Chilean, they wouldn’t beat Liverpool’s offer.
The news comes amid talk that Barca are trying to hurry through the sale of Sanchez in order to have funds ready for their proposed signing of Luis Suarez.
